Making sausages at the Wall's factory, Acton. Staff make strings of Wall's pork sausages at the factory. Originally for producing bacon, the factory in Atlas Road, Acton produced all Wall's meat products from 1956. The entire sausage- and pie-making process, from the slaughterhouse to product packaging, took place at the factory.
A second Wall's factory produced ice cream. In 1958, the two factories employed over 3,000 staff, 514 of whom worked at this meat factory.
