Anti-nuclear protestors gather in Trafalgar Square. The first march from London to Aldermaston took place in May 1958. In Trafalgar Square, thousands of protesters from all sections of society gathered to begin their journey. The crowds went to the nuclear base at Aldermaston in Berkshire annually between 1958 and 1963. Supported by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (C.N.D.), they called for an end to the use and testing of nuclear weapons.
