Supporters gathered for a 'March for Life' rally. A 'March for Life' rally, organised by the Daily Worker newspaper, took place in central London in protest at the use and development of nuclear weapons. 'Stop The Tests' and 'Children Need Peace Not Bombs' were among the protesters' slogans. The Daily Worker, the paper of the Communist Party of Great Britain, became the left-wing Morning Star in 1966.
