Gold and enamel pair of cased watches. Plain gold inner case with maker's mark 'TH', possibly Thomas Hardy. Gold and enamel outer case, bezel with a ringed rim within a band of purple guilloche enamel which is surrounded by a band of blue and white enamel in a saw-tooth design. This design is repeated on the band which surrounds a wide border of purple guilloche enamel with roundels beneath the enamel. In an oval cartouche is a painted scene in enamel showing two women with a naked child who appear to be releasing a bird from its cage. In the background there is a landscape. Beneath the counter enamel is a set of marks similar to those on the inner case. Gilded brass dial plate with three feet.
