Black cotton, long line corset with opening at the centre front.The twelve eyelets on either side of the two centre front whalebone busks are used for lacings.There are four steel/metal rods at the centre back. Shoulder straps are attached at the back and the front. It is strongly boned throughout, and is thought to have been a orthopeadic corset. The corset is lined with thick grey cotton and is machine stitched.
