Inside this fishmonger's shop, an inspector of weights and measures assesses the equipment for accuracy. Weighing scales and any other measuring equipment must comply with Weights and Measures Acts that have been established since the 19th century. If satisfied, the inspector stamped the equipment with a crown, a number and a year.
