A discriminating window sign targets the Travelling community. This pub window displays a sign announcing 'No caravan dwellers served here'. Gypsies and Travellers are usually members of close-knit communities and move from place to place according to seasonal patterns, harking back to a more traditional way of life. However, the majority of urban house dwellers hold hostile attitudes towards nomadic people, whom they view as having 'dropped out' of society.
