Shaftsbury Avenue looking northeast. View up Shaftsbury Avenue from the north side of Piccadilly Circus. This is one of many photographs taken by George Reid during the 1920s and 1930s, of the streets and buildings of London, and the activities in them. This one, from Volume 2 of his "Views of Westminster and London", was taken during restoration of the Eros statue.
