Shepherdess Walk, Hoxton. Oil on panel. View of Metropolitan Baths at No.23 Ashley Crescent which is part of Shepherdess Walk. This view looks south, down what was known as Vaughan Terrace towards St. Luke's Workhouse. St. Luke's can be seen in the background in the distance. A group of people is gathered in front of an archway beyond which seems to be the entrance to the Non-conformist Chapel. Further behind there are trees which are part of the Grecian Saloon's facade attached to the Eagle Tavern.
