Great Arthur House, Golden Lane Estate. Great Arthur House was built on the Golden Lane estate between 1955 and 1958, designed by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon for the Corporation of London. At 16 storeys, it was the highest residential block in England when it opened. Its original interior design featured sliding partition walls. The tower block is now Grade II listed. The photo contributed to an exhibition, Tower Blocks: Love Them or Loath Them, held at the Museum of London in 1999.
