Women's utility head square made from rayon linen and printed with pre-War and post-War mottoes. The background is printed in ochre yellow with an outer border of cream script lettering 'apres la guerre' repeated around the unfinished, fringed edge. A soft cream border encasses eighteen printed 'clouds' arranged in panels of five, four, four and five, each with a handwritten script in green, red, purple or deep pink. The 'mottoes', a different one on each cloud, refer to items such as petrol, chocolate and services returning to the pre-War supplies, such as ,'five gallons of B.P. and make it snappy!' and 'Your repairs will be ready tomorrow'. The scarf was titled 'No More Coupons'. The original paper label is attached to the edge.
