The Beheading of the Rebel Lords on Great Tower Hill. Coloured etching. Execution on Tower Hill of the Earl of Kilmarnock and Lord Balmarino after the 1745 Jacobite rebellion. The caption has a moralising verse and a history of their capture and trial. The etching shows the White Tower, the moat, surrounding houses, a huge crowd, the partly on specially erected seating, and the execution party on a platform surrounded by redcoats.
