Cathall Road Estate, Leytonstone. This elevated view of new terraced housing on the Cathall Road Estate, taken at night, is looking south-east towards Stratford. The original Cathall Road estate was built in 1971 to include two tower blocks, Redwood and Hornbeam, alongside low-rise blocks. Residential campaigning led to a successful regeneration plan that was initially controlled by the Waltham Forest Housing Action Trust. New terraced housing was built alongside and in place of the older buildings.
