A school on the Churchill Gardens estate, Pimlico. This school is surrounded by the slab blocks of the Churchill Gardens estate. Powell and Moya designed the estate, built in 1950-62 for Westminster City Council. Comprising 40 blocks, it provided 1,783 dwellings and was awarded the Civic Trust Award in 1961. Six of the blocks were given a Grade II listing. Many original tenants eventually bought their flats through the government's 'right to buy' policy.
