Suffragette procession of pottery workers. The Pageant of Women's Trades and Professions was held in the Albert Hall in April 1909, and brought together members of the suffragist movement. These pottery workers took part in the procession that preceded the pageant from Eaton Square to the Albert Hall. The pottery trade could be hazardous because of the dust, potential of lead-poisoning and heavy lifting involved. It was also poorly paid.
