Women's Coronation Procession, 1911. During the Women's Coronation Procession held in London 17 June 1911, women from diverse backgrounds came together to parade their political views. Colourful banners played a prominent part at these demonstrations and other activities of the Suffrage movement. The banners were striking, detailed works of art, bearing emblems, names of campaigners and famous female figures and achievements.
