View of Westminster from Great Smith Street. In the late 1850s Roger Fenton took several photographs to record the construction of the new Palace of Westminster. This Salt print shows Westminster School and Westminster Abbey in the foreground. The Victoria Tower can be seen to the right; in the distance,on the left, construction scaffolding can just be seen around the Clock Tower.
