Traders on the Stock Exchange trading floor. Henry Grant took this photograph of the trading floor at the Stock Exchange in 1968. Traders - then men only - dealt face-to-face with each other before computers and telephones were introduced in the 1980s. In 1972, the exchange moved to a new 26-storey tower in Threadneedle Street that had a 26,000 square foot (2,400 square metre) trading floor.
