The open-plan interior of Eveline Lowe Primary School. Eveline Lowe Primary School was the first school in the country to be built with an open plan layout. It was designed to facilitate experimental teaching methods in which teachers could engage with all age groups. Movable screens and display units allowed teachers to arrange the space according to the lesson requirements.
