The Protestant French chapel at Crown Street in Soho. Interior view of the chapel in which the pulpit and organ dominate the interior of this typically Protestant church, whereas the altar is not visible. This reflects the importance of preaching and music in the Huguenot service. The chapel's interior is filled with shafts of sunlight and appears almost empty. There are just two cleaning women and the outlines of the hats of two men who are entering the door at the top right of the picture. The exterior of the chapel is depicted in the William Hogarth engraving 'The Four Times of Day: Noon'.
