Baker's hand cart used on delivery rounds. This cart is painted in yellow and brown. Buchanans of Radnor Walk, Chelsea, made this handcart. It was used throughout the 1920s and 30s as a baker's delivery cart. Like milkmen, bakers divided London neighbourhoods into delivery 'rounds' usually local to their bakery premises. They offered a daily doorstep delivery service, bringing cakes and bread straight to the customers' homes.
