Model of prototype telephone box. This is a prototype model of the K2 telephone box, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott with the Royal Fine Arts Commission. The kiosk was designed mainly for use in London, as it was thought too expensive to install across the country. Red was chosen to make the kiosk stand out from its surroundings and be easily identifiable to everyone.
