Children peer into Hamleys toy store window. These children are peering into the window of the six-storey Hamleys toy store in Regent Street at Christmas time. Amongst the toys on offer that year were Noah's arks, model-making sets, musical instruments and a Tri-ang spinning top. The chairman of Tri-ang, Walter Lines, had rescued the toy store from liquidation in 1931 following the economic depression. Hamleys went on become one of London's biggest shopping attractions.
