Delivery at Smithfield meat market. Red meat and poultry was unloaded and carried into Smithfield marketplace each morning. Butcher carriers such as G.C.Grigson operated during the early hours. The meat was displayed, bought, and carried out again to waiting vans to be transported to the buyer.
