The Sunday pet and livestock market on Club Row near Petticoat Lane. On Sunday mornings Club Row in the east end came alive with the sound of animal noises. A lively market selling pets and livestock including dogs, birds, hens and fish filled the street. The puppy trade was extremely popular and children would flock to the many pens and cages to stroke the various breeds. Henry Grant photographed this woman as she considers the purchase of a puppy herself.
