Steel knife from Holloway prison. This steel prison knife, dated c1912, was used by a suffragette during her imprisonment in Holloway Gaol. Prison inmates received three meals a day. A breakfast of 'skilly', an oatmeal and water gruel, was supplemented with brown bread, potatoes and a twice-weekly ration of meat.
