A lively melee with three society figures and a crowd of caricatured citizens, some wearing election favours, waving flags, etc through which two carriages fight their way while a pickpocket works on a victim in the foreground. This detail shows the central figures from the Westminster election. On the left is Charles James Fox, in the centre is an unidentified figure and on the right is Georgiana Duchess of Devonshire.
